~Sturdy Company and Unknown Maker Sterling Ring boxes~

Vertical Ring Box very rare with a wax bottom, dates early 1920-30's

Marked Sterling & WA but unknown. "For Happiness" on lid with dove. 1940-50's

Various Sturdy Co. boxes. Square, stepped, and footed. Various interiors too.

Sturdy Co. with paper label inside lid reading "Bridal Wreath". Best for a band style ring.

Marked Sturdy on silver and bears a Birks satin in the lid. Box to hold various jewelry

Sturdy Co. stepped box with engine turning on lid and empty cartouche for engraving.

I have found more information which suggests

something other than what I have posted here.

I'm leaving this for the time being until I have

more concrete evidence about my newly found information.

As of 4/1/05 I'm still unsure if Sturdy is American or

Canadian. I'm leaning more towards Canadian.

Forgive me for any misleadings but this is a research project

in progress. More later.

Sturdy Of Massachusetts, maybe?

The mark for Sturdy is "tree silhouette" and

"sterling" on the bottom or the side.

Some boxes are engine turned, some have vintage monograms.

The Stepped Box is engine turned and monogramed. It's is

very goodcondition. The inside of all the boxes are in great

condition and vary in colors of velvet. The satin says "Steacy" "Brockville exst. 1860".

The Tiniest box of the 5 is placed in front.
